PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian and Turkish officials reviewed developments in the normalization process during a meeting held on May 5 on the sidelines of the Yerevan Dialogue forum.
National Assembly Vice Speaker Ruben Rubinyan and Turkey's special envoy Serdar Kilic welcomed the latest session of the joint working group overseeing the restoration of the Gyumri-Kars railway.
They stressed both countries' shared interest in launching the rail connection as soon as possible, Armenpress reported.
The envoys also highlighted the protocol signed on jointly restoring the historic Ani Bridge, known as the Silk Road Bridge. According to them, the project will strengthen bilateral cooperation, deepen institutional ties and support regional tourism.
Turkey's special representative Serdar Kilic told reporters that Armenia and Turkey have not yet discussed possible timelines for reopening the border, adding that he feels at home in Armenia.
