PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey and Armenia have not yet discussed a specific timeline for reopening their border, Turkey's special envoy for normalization with Armenia, Serdar Kilic, said in remarks to journalists.
"We have already decided that when the time comes, all details will be discussed and everything will be completed, and we will open the border. Construction is almost finished, but some issues still need to be resolved-informing people, connecting internet services, and so on. We still have time to fully restore the border," Kilic said, according to Sputnik Armenia.
He noted that there are no political obstacles and that only technical and bureaucratic issues remain to be addressed. The Turkish envoy stressed that there is political will on their side, which had been declared as early as 2022.
Asked to clarify the timeline, Kilic said he did not want to give an estimate to avoid misleading the public.
Responding to a question about how he feels in Armenia, he said: "I feel at home."
Serdar Kilic is in Armenia to participate in the Yerevan Dialogue forum, following the first Armenia-European Union summit and the 8th European Political Community summit.
