On election day, Sunday, the weather in Bulgaria will be mostly sunny before noon, followed by broken cloud cover in the afternoon. Cloudiness will be more significant over the southern, eastern, and mountainous regions, where isolated rain showers are expected.
A light to moderate north-northwesterly wind will blow across the country. Maximum temperatures will range between 17C and 22C, while along the Black Sea coast they will be between 15C and 19C. In Sofia, temperatures are expected to reach around 20C.
Mountain Areas
In the mountains, the morning will be mostly sunny, especially in the western parts of the country. In the afternoon, cloud cover will increase, bringing scattered rain showers, and snowfall is expected on the highest peaks and ridges.
A moderate to strong north-northwesterly wind will affect the eastern mountain regions. Temperatures will reach around 12C at 1200 meters and about 4C at 2000 meters.
Black Sea Coast
Along the Black Sea coast, cloudiness will be variable and often significant. Light rain showers are possible in isolated areas in the afternoon.
Winds will be light to moderate from the northwest in the morning, shifting to the southeast later in the day. Maximum temperatures will be between 15C and 19C. Sea water temperature is around 12C, with wave heights of about 2 on the Beaufort scale.
