Chinese premier sends congratulatory message to new Bulgarian PM

BEIJING, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Friday sent a congratulatory message to Rumen Radev, the new prime minister of Bulgaria.

In his message, Li said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 77 years ago, China and Bulgaria have always treated each other as equals, respected each other, and achieved mutual benefit and win-win results. The friendship between the two countries has grown stronger over time, he said.

China attaches great importance to developing ties with Bulgaria, Li said. He expressed his willingness to work with Radev to intensify bilateral exchanges at all levels, deepen cooperation across various fields, lift the China-Bulgaria strategic partnership to higher levels, and better benefit the peoples of both countries.
