Data still being processed by the National Audit Office shows that the largest share of campaign financing for the April 19 parliamentary elections went to Rumen Radev's coalition ?Progressive Bulgaria,? with total support approaching 1.1 million euros. According to information cited by Sega, the coalition attracted the biggest volume of donations among all participants in the vote.
Most of the funding came from supporters in the form of direct cash donations, which reached 964,740.38 euros. A total of 754 separate donations were registered, with the largest single contribution amounting to 50,000 euros. This placed Progressive Bulgaria far ahead of the other political formations in terms of campaign financing from private donors.
Candidates from the coalition also contributed to the campaign themselves. Their financial support included 130,513 euros in cash donations and another 2,167.82 euros in non-cash contributions. The largest personal donation came from Vladimir Nikolov, who headed the coalition's list in Plovdiv-city and gave 20,000 euros. According to his declaration, the funds came from earned income.
Overall, donations from supporters to all election participants totaled 1,296,187.02 euros, including both monetary and non-monetary contributions. The figures clearly show that the overwhelming majority of this funding was directed toward Progressive Bulgaria. The second-largest recipient was Delyan Peevski's DPS, which received around 300,000 euros in support.
Candidate MPs across all parties also contributed a total of 304,499.29 euros in cash and non-cash donations. After Progressive Bulgaria, some of the most active contributors came from PP-DB, whose candidates provided 74,980.98 euros. The Blue Bulgaria coalition followed with 26,139.25 euros, while the Siyanie coalition reported 26,300 euros in support from its own candidates.
The final figures are expected to be further clarified as the Audit Office continues receiving and processing declarations from all participants in the election campaign.
