PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Assembly Deputy Speaker and special envoy for Armenian-Turkish relations Ruben Rubinyan has said there are no new developments in the normalization process with Turkey.
Speaking to journalists in parliament, Rubinyan noted that he had spoken with his Turkish counterpart Serdar Kilic two days earlier, according to Aysor.am .
Responding to a question on whether the negotiation process had stalled, he said: "No, it has not stopped, but I have nothing new to say."
He added that the public would be informed if there were any updates, but at present there is no new information.
Armenia and Turkey announced in December 2021 their readiness to take steps toward normalizing relations. In 2022, during talks in Vienna, representatives agreed to open the border for third-country nationals and launch direct cargo flights, though these agreements have yet to be fully implemented.
In September 2025, Serdar Kilic visited Armenia. The Armenian Foreign Ministry stated that the sides discussed steps to implement agreements reached on July 1, 2022, and agreed to accelerate the process.
