PanARMENIAN.Net - On December 18, bilateral Armenia-Greece defense consultations were held at Armenia's Ministry of Defense, where the 2026 defense cooperation plan was signed. The plan includes the implementation of several dozen joint events both in Armenia and Greece.

The consultations were co-chaired by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Defense Policy and International Cooperation Department of Armenia's Ministry of Defense, and Brigadier General Christos Spiropoulos, Director of the Directorate for International Relations of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff.

The sides reviewed the defense cooperation activities already conducted in 2025 and discussed strategic priorities for 2026.

They noted that through joint efforts, defense cooperation between Armenia and Greece has reached a qualitatively new level-not only in scale but also in substance. The partnership is now comprehensive, covering a broader range of mutually beneficial areas.

Levon Ayvazyan also presented the ongoing transformation process within Armenia's Armed Forces.

The parties addressed a wide range of international and regional security issues as part of their consultations.
