TEHRAN (Tasnim) World champion Amin Mirzazadeh of Iran won a gold medal at the Muhamet Malo Ranking Series Sunday night.
- Sports news -Mirzazadeh returned to the mat for the first time since winning a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics in 130kg where he lost only to eventual champion Mijain Lopez (CUB).
He defeated Hamza Bakir of Turkey 3-1 in the final.
Mirzazadeh turned Bakir from par terre for a 3-0 lead before defending the lead and winning 3-1.
Bronze medals were won by Georgian Iakobi Kajaia and Heiki Nabi of Estonia.
