Damascus, SANA-President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmad al-Sharaa, in an interview with Al-Ikhbariya Syria: Any authority has two fundamental duties protecting the people and striving to secure their livelihoods. This has been the course of Syrian policy since the very first moments.
President al-Sharaa said that there are many sectors currently being developed in Syria, including agriculture. Over the past nine months, weve welcomed approximately 1,150 new production lines, in addition to restarting factories that had previously been out of service.
The Development Fund aims to rebuild the infrastructure of destroyed villages and towns, serving as a direct solution to the issue of camps and displaced persons, first and foremost. President al-Sharaa added.
President al-Sharaa said the term reconstruction project may be small, but it carries many details that take a long time to address. It is a working methodology we begin with what is available and according to priorities, and even so, whats available has not been scarce.
Foreign investments create numerous job opportunities for the country and provide foreign currency, while at the same time, some investments also contribute to infrastructure rehabilitation. President al-Sharaa added.
The President al-Sharaa said the movement of investment and capital within Syria impacts all sectors, and Syrias openness to foreign investments also provides access to external markets.
Syria has rapidly rebuilt its international and regional relations. We have witnessed great affection from most countries around the world, especially from neighboring states. Moreover, the United States has shown strong interest in investing within Syria. President al-Sharaa added.
